Dr. Gillott  was born and raised in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. He received a full scholarship to attend the University of Prince Edward Island where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1995. He was then accepted to the Atlantic Veterinary College and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the AVC in 1999. He began his career in a very busy five doctor veterinary hospital in a suburb of Vancouver, British Columbia. After four years of practice, Dr. Gillott and his wife Tracy acquired a practice of their own in 2003 in Delta, BC, another beautiful suburb of Vancouver. After 14 enjoyable and rewarding years in Delta BC, Dr. Gillott’s family grew and the desire to return home to the Maritimes to be closer to family and friends became stronger. Dr. Gillott purchased Vetwise Animal Hospital in October, 2016. Dr. Gillott looks forward to building long-term relationships with his staff and with new and existing clients and patients at Vetwise Animal Hospital. He believes in strong communication with an emphasis on client education and complete medical care.
